The disappearance of an 82-year-old Vermont woman is now being considered suspicious, according to police.


Roberta Martin, of Enosburgh, last had contact with her family by phone around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. She has not been heard from since. Neighbors reported her missing to state police around 11:55 a.m. Wednesday after checking on her and finding she was not at her Butternut Hollow Road home.

Her disappearance was initially treated as a missing persons case. However, state police updated the case on Thursday afternoon, stating that new information indicates her disappearance is suspicious.
